Editorial
Publications and Products
From a commemorative children’s book to an annual consumer-facing magazine, I have developed a wide range of editorial products that leverage intellectual property to inform and engage target audiences. Specifically, I have led ideation and concept development, editorial strategy, content creation, art direction, production, and distribution oversight.
Publications for the Sundance Film Festival include the Catalog and a pocket Film Guide, both reflecting the graphic identity for the year.
My first project for Sundance was to launch a daily newspaper for the Sundance Film Festival. The tabloid-sized piece was published and distributed on site throughout the 10-day event. The Daily Insider marked the beginning of Sundance’s original content - an area that evolved to include video, digital, and social content created and published throughout the year. In 2008 we shifted to an all-digital presentation of editorial, photographic, and video content for the Festival and all other Institute programs.
The merchandise line for the 2012 Sundance Film Festival included a children’s book edited by designer Todd Oldham. I acted as content lead by providing the list of films - one representing each letter of the alphabet - and Todd enlisted individual artists to create original illustrations befitting each film.
